These cocktails of superficial injections are done by hand or with an injection device delivering rapid injections for larger areas. Normally it is well tolerated, but for sensitive areas anaesthetic cream can be used prior to the treatment. Initially a course of 6-8 sessions are advised every 2 weeks, with maintenance 1-2 times a year.
BOTOPHASE
Botophase is a restructuring and firming facial treatment designed to act from the deep skin stratums in order to recover the good appearance of the skin.

Are there any contraindication?
Almost none but known allergy to components in the mesotherapy cocktail could affect pregnancy, breastfeeding, or cause keloid scarring, active infection or malignancy.
Is the treatment safe?
Yes, all the substances used normally in the skin but degrade as our skin gets older and stressed. Mesotherapy replaces these naturally occurring vitamins and nutrients.
Is it effective?

What are the side effects?
Minimal bruising, swelling and marks from injections are all short lived. Infection, allergy, scar or pigmentation is very rare.
What aftercare is needed?
Moisturiser and SPF cream is used afterwards and make-up can be used next.
BEFORE TREATMENT (for PATIENT):
- Shower prior to treatment, preferably using antibacterial soap
- Suspend any use of vitamin E and gink biloba 1 week prior to treatment
- Avoid caffeine and other stimulants
- Avoid rigorous exercise for 48hours
- Avoid painkillers that increase your likelihood of bruising, like aspirin and ibuprofen
- Sauna before treatment can aid to mobilize the fat
- No makeup
AFTER MESOTHERAPY TREATMENT (for PATIENT):
- Drink LOTS of water – the first 24hours
- Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, sauna or heat for 2 weeks
- Avoid any strenuous exercise for 48hours after injections
- Avoid any bathing in oceans or open water (outdoor) for at least a week after treatment
- Avoid alcohol to facilitate hepatic handling of toxins
- Do NOT take anti-inflammatories (Aspirin, Motrin, etc.) or take Vitamin E for 24hours after injections
- Use general painkillers e.g. Tylenol for any discomfort or use any prescription medications given
- Ice should be applied to the area and may be applied as needed to reduce swelling for the first 48hours
- Do NOT wash or take a shower for at least 4 hours after treatment
- Arnica gel applied three times a day x48hours will resolve bruising. Sublingual Arnica 30 may also be used
- Hot tubs, saunas, Jacuzzis, and massages are NOT recommended for 48hours after treatment
